Stool,26-1/2x26-1/2x46,Seat 18x18,NY (Office Product) Chair is plastic with a steel frame. Main post is steel with plastic covering expansion/contraction area. Foot step is aluminum and canNot be tightened into a stiff position, but is quite functional. Legs are plastic with plastic casters. The chair feels very stable. The chair swivels and rolls across the floor quite easily. I wanted a good chair, not an expensive chair. This chair is exactly what I wanted. It comes in a large box and is extremely easy to assemble.
