Can't assemble and seat height too high, October 11, 2011 By C2000 (usa) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: ItalModern Beetle High Back Office Chair J-Arm (Office Product) The back will not assemble to the chair. They made the back too wide (or the seat too small) - it's off by about 3/16". The back is supposed to slide on and then screwed on. Seat height was claimed to be 17.5" inches. Seat height is actually about 17 5/8" in back - 18 1/4" in the center area and about 18 3/4" at the highest bungie cord. The seat depth is about 17.5". The seat width is about 14.5" bungie cord to bungie cord. The lowest arm height from floor is about 27". Weight max 450 lbs, according to seat sticker. The base is hollow. Made in Taiwan.
UPDATE: It was too difficult to return. I could not find a box large enough. Apparently once the gas lift and metal plate are put in place they get locked on forever, making a return with the original box impossible. Eurostyle sent me a new seat and back. The seat turned out to be the defective part. I will just have to eventually sell this and take a loss. Hopefully I can find a smaller chair.
